在周星馳電影中，"要你命3000"是集各種致命武器於一身的神器。但這裡的"要你命3000"，是集合了十四位演奏精湛的樂手，讓你欣賞完表演，震撼到似乎要了你的命。
團名帶點幽默，也別具巧思，在台灣音樂界中，這少見的14人大樂團( Big Band)，除了有常見的吉他，貝斯，爵士鼓，和鍵盤外，還加入了薩克斯風，小號，長號，打擊樂器( percussion )，讓音樂表演更有層次感和想像空間。
默契絕佳的十四位樂手，在演奏Funk，Soul，Jazz等曲風時，絕對是令人耳目一新。令人期待的還有這些團員，網羅了從古典到爵士領域的好手，不乏職業演奏者，和畢業於國內外專業音樂學院的音樂家。
"要你命3000"是個不大安靜的放克爵士樂團，將帶給喜愛音樂的朋友們不一樣的音樂饗宴，邀請大家一起來體驗。

“The Killer 3000 Orchestra” was the brainchild of four avid musicians from Taichung. The band began as quartet in early 2010 and ended up as a 14-piece big band by May 2010. The band’s main goal is to reproduce an authentic sound of 1960~70’s funk, soul, and R&B but in a big band setting.

The current repertoire of “The Killer 3000 Orchestra” has included arrangements from Cowboy Bebop, The Kashmere Stage Band, James Brown, Christina Aguilera, Aretha Franklin and much more.

Up till now, it is believed that “The Killer 3000 Orchestra” is the only band in Taiwan that plays funk exclusively.
